Providing one channel digitization up to 12.5 GS/s (Gigasamples per second) or two channels up to 6.25 GS/s with 8-bit resolution, Tektronix Component Solutions’ TADC-1000 digitizer module is the world’s fastest commercially available 8-bit ADC (analog-to-digital converter) module. Incorporating proprietary Tektronix ASIC technology, the TADC-1000 offers real-time streaming performance in a highly-deployable 3.6” x 5.9” module.

TADC-1000 Overview
Tektronix Component Solutions’ TADC-1000 is driven by technology developed by our ASIC design team on IBM’s SiGe BiCMOS process. These ASICs achieve world-leading performance by interleaving four ADCs operating at 3.125 GS/s and employing advanced clocking techniques. This proprietary ASIC technology has been proven and utilized in a variety of Tektronix high-performance instruments and is available now for incorporation into your next-generation systems.

Typical Applications
The TADC-1000 can be used for application prototype development and can also be deployed in embedded systems where the form factor is acceptable. Frequently utilized in radar systems that require improved resolution using wider modulation bandwidth, electronic warfare systems that need to broaden instantaneous frequency detection and high-performance radar and communication system development, the TADC-1000 is a powerful solution for systems with wide bandwidth or high sample-rate requirements.
