TIPA-3100 & TIPD-3200 HAPS Interposer Modules
ENABLING WIDEBAND SYSTEM PROTOTYPING AND DEVELOPMENT
The HAPS® (High-performance ASIC Prototyping System) product family from Synopsys (www.synopsys.com) is an FPGA-based prototyping system ideal for developing complex, high-performance systems. The TIPA-3100 and TIPD-3200 interposer modules interface the HAPS board to Tektronix Component Solutions’ TADC-1000 Digitizer or TDAC-2000 DAC modules, enabling the rapid prototyping of wideband systems. Depending on the specific HAPS product, up to four sites are available for any combination of digitizer or DAC modules and their associated interposers, enabling system data rates of up to 480 Gbps and extensive digital signal processing. The interposers and digitizer/DAC modules are able to sustain full bandwidth to the host FPGAs through the HAPS parallel digital connectors (HapsTrak II).

TIPA-3100 and TIPD-3200 Overview:
The TIPA-3100 and TIPD-3200 HAPS interposer modules support wideband system development by harnessing the performance of Tektronix Component Solutions’ data converter technology with the flexibility and digital signal processing (DSP) horsepower of the HAPS without the cost of custom bottom-board development. Leveraging the HAPS boards allows:
- Up to four high-speed digitizer or DAC boards to be configured on the same system
- Precise time alignment of sampling to 2 picoseconds, using built-in cal signals
- Single-, dual- and quad-FPGA configurations providing ~4.5, 9 or 18 million gates
- Up to four V5 LX330 or four V6 LX760 FPGAs available for signal processing
- Quick, easy prototyping of complex systems for signal acquisition or generation applications, supporting faster time-to-market
- Algorithm development for receivers, transmitters or combined systems
Typical applications include DRFM systems (Digital RF Memory), ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), electronic warfare, threat simulation, radar, high-energy physics, mass spectrometry, radio astronomy and optical communications.
